SmartVent Lite+
SmartVent Lite+ is the straightforward, cost conscious option for homes and rentals where reliable moisture management is the priority.
Two temperature and humidity sensors monitor conditions inside the home and in the incoming air stream. The controller adjusts airflow to help moderate moisture, with low temperature protection to limit the delivery of uncomfortably cold air.

It monitors temperature and humidity inside the home, in the roof cavity and at the outside air source. The system uses this information to manage airflow in response to changing conditions. Wireless sensing gives us flexibility when selecting useful monitoring locations, while SmartLife app control lets you check and adjust the system from your phone.

SmartVent Positive Advance

Four wireless temperature and humidity sensors measure conditions throughout the home, in the roof cavity and outside. The controller calculates the dew point and adjusts the amount of air introduced, helping prevent indoor surfaces from reaching the conditions where condensation forms.

Choosing The Right System For Your Home
A good ventilation design also depends on the size and layout of the home, the number of rooms being ventilated, the roof space, where suitable air can be drawn from and how moisture moves through the property.
As a general system guide:
- Homes up to 100 square metres can use a single fan system serving up to three rooms, depending on the model.
- Homes up to 280 square metres can use a single fan system serving up to six rooms.
- Homes up to 560 square metres use a two fan configuration and can serve up to twelve rooms.
We inspect the property before finalising the design. This lets us select the right fan configuration, outlet positions and duct routes without relying on floor area alone.

Optional Comfort Features
Positive3 and Positive Advance can be configured with selected options when the home and system design suit them.
Flexible Air Source
This option allows the system to choose a suitable source of incoming air based on current conditions. It can be useful when the roof cavity is too warm, too cold or otherwise unsuitable.
Heat Transfer
A heat transfer option can move excess warmth from one heated room to other selected areas. It redistributes existing heat and does not create additional heat.
Tempering Heater
A one or two kilowatt tempering heater can take the chill off incoming air during colder conditions. It is not a replacement for a correctly sized home heating system. Larger two fan systems require a heater for each fan when this option is selected.
Through Wall Grille
A through wall grille can provide an outside air intake where this is the better source for the property and installation layout.

Step 1: Home Assessment
We look at the floor area, room layout, roof access, ceiling space, existing insulation and visible sources of moisture. We will also discuss which rooms need outlets and how you use the home.
Step 2: System Design And Written Quote
We recommend the SmartVent model, fan configuration, outlet count and any useful options. Your written quote sets out the proposed equipment and installation scope before work starts.
Step 3: Tidy Installation
We install the fan unit, filter, insulated ducting, ceiling outlets, sensors and controller. Duct routes are planned to keep airflow balanced and the roof space orderly. Our team handles the required electrical connection as part of the job.
Step 4: Setup And Handover
Once installation is complete, we configure the controller, test airflow at the outlets and show you how to use boost mode, schedules and app control where available. We will also explain filter care and the settings that suit your household.

A ventilation system manages airflow and moisture. A heat pump heats, cools and dehumidifies the room in which it operates. Many homes benefit from both, especially where bedrooms need regular airflow and living areas need dependable temperature control.

How Much Does A Home Ventilation System Cost?
The cost depends on the selected system, floor area, number of outlets, roof access, duct routes and optional equipment. We assess the home first and provide a written quote based on the installation it needs.
Will A Ventilation System Stop Condensation Completely?
It can significantly reduce everyday condensation when the system is correctly designed and the home is otherwise sound. Results vary with outdoor conditions, household moisture, insulation and the building itself. A ventilation system cannot repair leaks or other sources of unwanted water.
Does A Positive Pressure System Heat The House?
No. It moves filtered air through the home. Positive3 and Positive Advance can use an optional tempering heater to take the chill off incoming air, but the heater does not replace a heat pump or another main heating source.
Which SmartVent System Is Best For A Rental Property?
Lite+ is a practical choice when cost control and a rental lock are the main priorities. Positive3 also includes a rental lock, with app access, broader sensing and optional comfort features. We will recommend the system that fits the property rather than adding features the occupants will not use.
How Many Rooms Can A SmartVent System Cover?
The available configurations cover one to twelve rooms, depending on the model. One fan is used for systems up to 280 square metres, while larger designs up to 560 square metres use two fans. We confirm the outlet count and airflow requirements during the assessment.
Where Does The Incoming Air Come From?
The source depends on the system and design. Positive pressure systems commonly use filtered air from the roof cavity, while flexible source and outside air options are available for suitable Positive3 and Positive Advance installations. We inspect the roof space and explain the proposed air source in your quote.
How Often Does The Filter Need Replacing?
Replacement timing depends on the filter, local conditions and how often the system runs. Each system includes a filter change alert. We will show you where the filter is located and explain the correct maintenance interval at handover.
Is There A Warranty?
SmartVent lists a five year warranty for these systems. Warranty terms, maintenance requirements and the installation workmanship cover will be set out with your quote.
