Industrial HVAC - Engineered Climate Control

Warehouses, manufacturing floors, server rooms and process-critical spaces don't need “a big heat pump.” They need engineered heating, cooling and ventilation designed around your process, your compliance obligations and your uptime.

Built for the environments that break assumptions

Industrial environments break the assumptions residential and light-commercial systems are built on: heat loads from machinery, high stud heights, dust and contaminants in the air, spaces where a few degrees of drift stops production or spoils product.

We design, install and maintain HVAC for exactly these conditions across Auckland and the Manawatū.

Lighter-duty premises? Our commercial air conditioning page covers offices, retail and hospitality.

What we handle

Plant selected for lifecycle cost rather than lowest sticker price - Temperzone, Mitsubishi Electric and Daikin commercial/industrial ranges.

Warehouse & logistics

High-stud spaces where warm air wants to live 8 metres above your staff. We design with destratification, spot conditioning and zoning so you condition the working level, not the roof void.

Manufacturing & process

Systems that hold temperature against real machinery heat loads, with filtration and equipment specced for dusty or demanding air. Where product needs tight tolerances, we design to the tolerance, not to “comfortable-ish.”

Server rooms & comms cooling

Precision, redundancy and monitoring for spaces where an hour of overheating costs more than the system did. N+1 configurations, temperature alarms and 24/7 response available.

Ventilation, extraction & make-up air

Removing heat, moisture, fumes or process by-products and replacing the air you extract, engineered to the relevant workplace and Building Code requirements.

Staff amenity in industrial buildings

Offices, smoko rooms and control rooms carved out of big sheds, done properly - so the admin team isn't freezing in July while the floor bakes in January.

Large-capacity plant

High-output splits, VRF networks, packaged and air-handling systems.

How we approach industrial work

Load study first - because industrial rules of thumb are how systems end up 40% undersized or scandalously over-specced.

1

Load study first

We measure what's actually happening — machinery output, occupancy, stud height, solar gain, air changes, process requirements.

2

Design to your constraints

Production can't stop for our convenience. Designs account for install access, staging, services corridors and your maintenance regime; installation is programmed around shifts, shutdown windows and safety inductions. Our teams are site-safety compliant and used to working under permit systems.

3

Fixed proposal, itemised

Plant, controls, ductwork, electrical, commissioning - priced transparently with running-cost projections, because at industrial scale, efficiency differences are real money every month.

4

Commission, prove, document

Performance verified against the design figures and handed over with the documentation your compliance, insurance and audit processes need - including maintenance records aligned to BWOF obligations where HVAC is a specified system.

Maintenance and breakdown: uptime is the product

Industrial HVAC failure isn’t an inconvenience — it’s stopped production, an offline server room, or product outside spec. Our industrial maintenance agreements are built accordingly:

  • Scheduled preventative maintenance matched to run-hours and environment (dusty sites get shorter intervals - as they should)
  • Condition monitoring and forward plant-replacement budgeting, so major components are planned capex, not emergency opex
  • Priority breakdown response with after-hours and 24/7 options for contract clients
  • Single account management across multiple sites and mixed equipment brands - including plant we didn't install

Auckland

Industrial estates from Penrose and East Tāmaki to Wiri, Ōtāhuhu, Avondale and Albany — with response times measured against how much your downtime costs, not how far the drive is.

Palmerston North & Manawatū

One of New Zealand's key freight and logistics hubs deserves industrial HVAC capability that lives here. We service warehouses, manufacturers and processing sites across Palmerston North, Feilding, Longburn and the wider region — same engineering standard, local response.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between commercial and industrial HVAC?

Scale and stakes. Industrial work deals with machinery heat loads, high-stud spaces, contaminated or demanding air, process tolerances and uptime-critical operation - which changes the plant selection, the design method and the maintenance regime. If your building is more shed than shop, you're on the right page.

Can you heat or cool a large warehouse economically?

Yes, with the right design: zoning to condition occupied areas, destratification to reclaim the heat sitting at ceiling level, and high-efficiency plant sized from a genuine load study. Targeting where people and product actually are usually beats conditioning the entire high-stud volume.

Do you do server room cooling?

Yes - precision cooling with redundancy (N+1), alarms and monitoring, plus maintenance contracts with the response times an outage-intolerant room requires.

Can you work around our production schedule?

That's the default, not the exception - nights, weekends, shutdown windows and staged installs, with site inductions and permit-to-work compliance handled.

Can you maintain equipment you didn't install?

Yes. We begin with a plant condition audit across all brands, then build a maintenance schedule and forward budget from its actual state.

Do you cover BWOF requirements for industrial buildings?

Yes - where HVAC or mechanical ventilation appears on your compliance schedule, our maintenance programmes produce the records the annual sign-off requires.
