ColorVu - full-colour night vision
Conventional cameras switch to grey infrared after dark; ColorVu keeps recording in colour at night. For evidence, that's the difference between “a person in a hoodie” and “a person in a red Swanndri” - we spec it at driveways and entries as standard on serious systems.
AcuSense - alerts about humans, not headlights
On-camera AI classifies people and vehicles, so your phone buzzes for a prowler and stays silent for rain, moths and the neighbour's cat. This is the feature that keeps notifications turned on past week two.

“I've read things about Hikvision - should I be concerned?”
Fair question, honestly answered. Some overseas governments have restricted Hikvision on their own government sites over supply-chain policy; New Zealand hasn't banned it, and it remains the most-installed brand in Kiwi homes and businesses.
Our take, as installers of several brands: for residential and general commercial use the practical risk is a badly configured system of any brand - default passwords, exposed ports, ancient firmware. So every system we install, Hikvision included, is hardened as standard.
If your organisation has procurement rules that exclude particular manufacturers (some government-adjacent and corporate clients do), we'll say so up front and quote equivalent systems from alternative brands - we install on merit, not allegiance. For everyone else: Hikvision's pro range remains the value benchmark, and we're happy to stand behind it.

Can you fix or add to my existing Hikvision system?
Yes - service, expansion, reconfiguration and app setup on systems we didn't install is routine work for us.
Is Hikvision banned in New Zealand?
No. Some overseas jurisdictions restrict it for their government facilities; NZ has no general ban, and it's widely installed here. Organisations with specific procurement policies can ask us about alternative-brand equivalents.
Do you use genuine NZ-supplied stock?
