Deter. Alert. Prove.

A good CCTV system does three jobs: it deters (a visible camera changes a burglar's maths before they touch your gate), it alerts (a phone notification the moment a person enters your driveway at 2am - not when a cat does), and it proves (footage clear enough for Police to actually use).

A cheap DIY kit reliably does none of the three. Professional design and installation is the difference.

What we install (and why it matters)

Designed backwards from evidence: faces at entries, plates at the driveway mouth, approach paths covered.

Cameras that see at night in colour

Standard infrared gives you grey ghosts; modern full-colour low-light cameras give Police a jacket colour and a plate. We fit them where identification matters - entries and driveway - as standard on Family and Premium systems.

Smart detection, not motion spam

AI person/vehicle detection means your phone buzzes for a prowler, not for moths, headlights or the neighbour's cat. This single feature is why people actually keep notifications on.

Recording that survives the real world

Footage stores locally on the NVR - no monthly cloud fees, no “sorry, your internet was down” gaps - with 30+ days retention and easy clip export for Police.

Placement designed backwards from evidence

We start from “what would you need to show Police?” - then design coverage, heights and angles from there. It's also how we keep the front of your house looking like a home, not a prison.

Professional brands

Hikvision, Dahua and Uniview professional ranges, matched to your site and budget - see our Hikvision systems page if you've been recommended a specific brand.

Pairs with an alarm

Cameras record; an alarm system interrupts. Bundle both and save on the shared cabling and call-out - one crew, one day, both systems.

Privacy done properly

Cameras on your own property are perfectly legal in NZ - but they shouldn't record your neighbour's lounge or the street beyond what's incidental, and the Privacy Act applies once you capture other people's activities.

We aim and mask cameras correctly at install (privacy zones blank out the neighbour's windows in-camera), which keeps you legal, neighbourly, and out of awkward fence-line conversations.

How it works

Twenty minutes on-site, a fixed quote, and honest advice about what your property actually needs.

1

Free site assessment

We walk the property, note entry points and blind spots, and ask the only question that matters: when you open the app from work or holiday, what do you need to see?

2

Fixed itemised quote

Cameras, positions, recorder, storage days - everything listed.

3

Installation day

Most homes are done in a day: cables run and concealed, cameras mounted and aimed, system configured, app on your phones, and a proper handover.

4

Aftercare

3-year warranty, remote support, and optional annual health checks - lens clean, firmware, storage test.

FAQs

How much does CCTV installation cost in NZ?

Professionally installed home systems typically run $2,000-$5,500 depending on camera count and property complexity; our 4-camera systems start at $1,999 fully installed. Commercial systems are quoted per site - see commercial CCTV.

Wired or wireless cameras?

Wired PoE for anything you're serious about: better reliability, no batteries, no Wi-Fi dropouts, keeps recording if your internet dies. Wireless has its place (rentals, impossible cable runs) and we'll say so when it's genuinely the right call.

Can I watch my cameras on my phone?

Yes - live view, playback and smart alerts from anywhere, set up on your devices before we leave. Multiple family members can have access.

How many cameras do I need?

Most homes are well covered with 4-6: front entry, driveway, back door, and side/backyard approaches. The free assessment maps it precisely - we'd rather sell you five well-placed cameras than eight mediocre ones.

Do cameras actually deter burglars?

Visible cameras measurably push opportunists to easier targets, and when deterrence fails, identification-grade footage is what turns a Police report into an arrest. Pair with an alarm system and you've covered both prevention and response - bundle pricing available.

Is my footage private and secure?

Local storage, strong unique passwords, current firmware and no sloppy port-forwarding - we harden every system at install, because a camera that's easy for you to view badly is easy for others too.
